Toyota, jointly with the American manufacturer of Tonka toy trucks, created a conceptual Hilux pickup SUV. The creators of the published prototype is positioned as a toy-lamage for adults, embodied the durability characteristic of off-road autota and durability.
The Toyota Tonka concept is based on, as already noted, the global Hilux pickup, which last year has become the most implemented by the Japanese brand in the Australian market. Such a success was decided to fix the release of the prototype under consideration. The presented conceptual car was developed, mounted and tested by the team of the Australian unit Toyota.
The technical potential of Toyota Hilux Tonka was formed by a 2.8-liter turbodiesel, all-wheel drive transmission and impressive 35-inch wheels. The concept of 150mm clearance was also increased with the implementation of the suspension reinforcement.
In front, the conceptual pickup has received a highly effective LED lighting, and the luggage compartment lid is found from the carbon fiber from behind. The prototype was also provided with additional protection of the motor and a series of stylistic elements from carbon.
The release of the conceptual Hilux Tonka SUV Australian unit Toyota, in addition to the highest last year’s performance indicators, also celebrated the quantitative indicator of pickup sales since 1968., recorded by a mark of 920 thousand units.
