The largest Czech automotive concern Skoda, which is part of the Volkswagen AG engineering holding, shared a photograph and information about the technical equipment of the five -door version of the new city hatchback Citigo. The five -door modification of the Skoda Citigo model, like a car with three doors, will go to the interior of the official dealers of the brand with the only possible gasoline power unit with a working volume of one liter. Installation with three cylinders, depending on the level of forcing, has a capacity of sixty to seventy -five horsepower. The weakest version of the urban car one hundred kilometers in mixed mode consumes about four liters of fuel and throws ninety -six grams of carbon dioxide for one kilometer into the environment.
After some time, the Czech company organizes the serial production of the Citigo compact with an electric engine that develops eighty horsepower. The unit receives energy from a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of eighteen kilowatt-hour. On fully charged batteries, the car will be able to overcome at least one hundred and thirty kilometers. The mileage will be largely determined by the driving style and road conditions.
The premiere show of the five -door model Skoda Citigo will be held at the International Geneva Motor Show this spring, where the “clone” debit of the novelty will also be held – the Volkswagen UP hatchback!. Citigo sales in the Old World countries will be deployed in May 2012.
