In many countries of the Old World, on the basis of a deep analysis of road safety issues, the requirement was established for motorists – at any time of the day to move with the nearby light. And it helped-traffic accidents became much less.
Motorists with considerable driving experience are quite positive about driving with lit near light. However, they are not satisfied with the fact that the operation of lighting devices, although a little, still increases the consumption of fuel. LEDs are an excellent way out of this problem.
To date, many manufacturers are ready to offer owners of daily optics, based on white LEDs (one of these companies in Russia is Twr-Systems).
LED tape has the following advantages:
1) Small energy consumption (a matrix of hundreds of LEDs consumes about seven watts).
2) a long service life (even if one or more LEDs burn out, this will not affect the work of other elements).
3) similarity with xenon by spectrum (LEDs are an excellent addition to xenon).
4) prolonged reliable work of LED products.
5) headlights with LEDs almost do not heat up, and therefore there is no risk of cracking glass due to the temperature difference.
6) the use of LEDs with an angle of light dispersion in the framework of 140-160 degrees significantly increases the area of illumination in the dark.
The imperfections of LED technology is only their impressive price. The cost of one modern super-bright LED can be fifty euros. However, the initial costs will quickly pay off, and the price of them is becoming more affordable every year due to the reduction of the cost of production and increase competition.
We also note that the manufacturers of LEDs indicate the guaranteed time of the functioning of the LEDs in the range from fifty to one hundred thousand hours. In the event that one LED burns out, the matrix will retain its performance. Only three LEDs will cease to shine (burned out and a couple of installed next to it).
