The leadership of the Jaguar Land Rover group decided not to send an ultraroscopic three -door variation of the Range Rover to the conveyor with the name SV Coupe. This modification of the SUV was supposed to appear a limited series of a thousand units, and planned to sell its automaker at a minimum cost of 0.24 million pounds or about twenty -one million rubles at a current rate.
The decision not to release even a small -scale Range Rover SUV version of the SV Coupe version of the car producer accepted due to the insufficient demand for this ultra -wise off -road car.
At the same time, the number of already issued pre -orders for the car under consideration is not specified, although it is known that some customers are ready to pay even 340 thousand pounds for this luxury or about thirty million rubles.
Separately, it is noted that the refusal of the release of the luxurious Range Rover variation of SV Coupe is also associated with a reduction in costs, since the company is planned to reduce operating expenses within 2.5 billion pounds, for which about 4.5 thousand employees are already subject to dismissal. In addition, the Chinese car market began to a drop in demand for luxury cars.
Note that the presentation of the three -door Range Rover version of the SV Coupe version took place at last year’s spring Geneva Auto Show. The SUV is based on the usual modification of the model, but it has almost an individual execution, not counting the hood and lower part of the trunk cover. In technical terms, the car was supposed to receive a five -liter compressor eight with a return of 565 horses and 700nm when supplemented with an eight -band ZF automatic machine.
