The Volkswagen AG Stuttgart automotive concern over the next few months will delight fans of its products with a new vehicle equipped with a hybrid power unit, whose batteries can be charged both from the internal combustion engine while driving and ordinary electric power plants. According to unofficial information, a hybrid power plant will include a 4-liter gasoline engine with a turbocharger of one hundred and fifty horsepower and an electric motor, whose performance will reach three dozen “horses”. Fully charged batteries, the variety of which is not indicated, it will be enough for the car to overcome at least fifty kilometers exclusively in electric trustees.
Representatives of Volkswagen notes that the latest power unit will be installed on the mass of the “mass segment”. From the point of view of experts, this refers to the Jetta sedan or the American modification of the Passat model. Another applicant for obtaining a hybrid system is the Beetle 2012 model year, the CAR publication believes&Driver.;
