Chevrolet presented a new generation of Silverado pickupa during a special event in Texas dedicated to the centenary of the production of Chevrolet pickups. So far, some details of the execution of an off -road new items have been disclosed, and the details will be made public at Detroit January Auto Show.
The fourth generation of Chevrolet Silverado was developed from scratch, and before starting work, 7 thousand people were interviewed to identify their wishes relatively new pickup generation. As a result, the appearance of the car was changed, but remained recognizable. A radiator massive grate is still found in front, and the stamped Chevrolet inscription appeared from the back of the brand’s classic pickups.
When creating the new Chevrolet Silverado, the emphasis was on a decrease in the mass of pickupa through the use of high -strength steel, from which the floor of the cargo platform was also made.
Representatives of the Chevrolet brand promise many new variations of power units and transmissions. The current pickup generation is equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 and 6.2-liter V8 gasoline atmospheries, as well as the 6.6-liter DURAMAX diesel engines when complementing eight-and six-band automatic machines.
Also, the new Chevrolet Silverado will receive new configurations, which should be as many as eight, and one performance with the name Trail Boss will be completely new. Such a modification has a set of off-road variations of Z71 with a supplement of factory elevators tested and certified by the car manufacturer.
