Maserati published official photos with a demonstration of the first crossover for the history of the Italian brand. This car with off -road potential is called levante. The demonstration of the new item is planned by Italians on the Geneva car dealership.
Maserati noted that the new crossover is based on a chassis combining the outstanding road opportunities characteristic of each model of the Italian brand, with excellent off -road characteristics.
At the same time, it was previously reported that the SUV will appear in January and receive a platform on which QUATTROPORTE and GHIBLI sedans are founded.
The car manufacturer also added that the motor line of the all -terrain vehicle will be represented by the appropriate Euro6 standard with gasoline and diesel engines, the parameters of which are still unknown. Power plants will be combined with an eight -band automatic.
The all -terrain vehicle will also receive active air suspension and all -wheel drive transmission. The production of new items will be commissioned in Italian Turin. The debut car has already left the assembly line, and the sale of the car should start in the spring.
In the future, the new crossover must become the first model of the Italian automaker with the presence of a hybrid power plant. Later, the rest of the brand models should also receive benzo-electrical units, with the exception of the flagship coupe Alfieri.
