by usanews

The Guardian information publication reports that serving deadlines in British correctional institutions will offer prisoners to work 40 hours a week. Ken Clark, Minister of Justice of Great Britain, will make a statement of this decision on October 5.

So the publication clarifies that in this case, the state will pay wages to all working prisoners, a certain part of which (approximately 20%) will be transferred to the account of the victims affected by the corresponding prisoner. In addition, some of the money will be transferred to relatives of prisoners, so that they can reduce the burden on social programs existing today in the state.

Also, from the salary received by the wages, the state will subtract the cost of prison detention of prisoners. As for the balance of money, it is supposedly to be issued to the prisoners during their release.

At this time, it is not yet known what the approximate sizes of salaries will be, however, the Ministry of Justice declares, this will be more than the wages will be more than the amount they received today, the size of which is eight pounds per week. At the same time, the authorities say that salaries will not greatly exceed the size of the minimum salary established today, which is five pounds of 93 pence per hour. This is done so that the prisoners do not suit problems with the job loan. It is also reported that work for convicts will be sought in those regions where today the lack of labor is most noted today.

The publishing house clarifies that, according to existing laws, it is impossible to force prisoners to work. However, the Ministry of Justice hopes that convicts will be interested in a special reward system developed specifically for hardworking.

So the popular magazine The Wall Street Journal reports that some British companies will provide the work of convicts. Among the proposed work spheres there is a filling and processing of simple databases, as well as sorting garbage, designed for further separate processing.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Justice, today about eighty -five thousand people are in British correctional institutions. Of these, only a few work and receive wages in their hands. In certain cases, some of the money they have earned is transferred to the account of the victims, however, the annual amount of compensation is a maximum of one million pounds. The Ministry of Justice claims that resorting to a new program this amount will increase a hundred times.
