Renault electric cars in the Russian market. Part I

by usanews

Russia slowly but confidently begins to join the pan -European “movement” on the use of cars, which have an electric motor instead of a traditional internal combustion engine. World car manufacturers also strive to keep up with the “fashion movement” and in every possible way try to attract attention to their products, releasing all kinds of cars. Only Mitsubishi introduced its new MIEV electric car, immediately the French manufacturer Renault puts on the market at once two “zero” electric cars – sedan and “heel”. Despite the fact that it seems to be like fashionable and at the same time economically cheaper, and in addition does not pollute the surrounding ecology, the average Russian will not agree to change his car with an internal combustion engine for a more economical and harmless electric car due to the fact that There is no infrastructure in the country that allows such a car to drive in the expanses of our Motherland. On the other hand, for whom to make “electrical” refueling if there are no electric vehicles in the country? Here is such a paradox and it turns out with our country.

Regarding the presented electric vehicles, the presentation of which occurred in Russia, there is no need to talk about large -scale expansion, this can be called intelligence fighting. According to the representative of Renault, between the company, which he represents the representatives of the relevant departments of Russia, in particular the mayor of Moscow, has long been negotiating about the need to establish mutually beneficial cooperation on the use of electric cars. In this, the French side is even ready to provide some financial assistance in order to start the process of building electrical gas stations. The preliminary agreement was reached and the start of sales of electric vehicles was appointed at the end of 2011. However, it just so happened that the mayor of Moscow has changed, and a new person who came to his place, shuffled the composition of the Moscow government quite strongly. This means that it is necessary to start negotiations again. Of course, Moscow authorities do not refuse negotiations with representatives of Renault, but as representatives of Renault they themselves see that the city hall is not up to them now.

If we take global examples of how the countries began the “electrification” programs for the subsequent use of electric vehicles, then the most successful projects can be considered those in which manufacturers of electric vehicles were enlisted by the support of companies that are engaged in the development, transportation and sale of electricity, as well as local prefectures.
