The recently created reserve center of the Armbusinessbank (ABB) will ensure the staff of the bank in emergency situations, such as floods, earthquakes, political instability, military operations, etc.
According to the head of the information technology department, ABV Musheg Gisyan, the center was created based on the requirements of information security in accordance with the decision of the Central Bank 71n “Minimum conditions for the implementation of internal control of banks” in connection with the upcoming transition of commercial banks to the ISO 27001: 2005 standard. Since the reserve center for security reasons should be territorially removed from the head office, it was built on the territory of the current Vanadzor branch of the AVV.
“The creation of the reserve center we solved two problems. Firstly, they ensured the safety of information and, secondly, created the opportunity for bank employees to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the system and customer service in emergency situations. A very important circumstance is that all banking processes are recorded in the reserve center in “On-line” mode. This means that all transactions related to customer accounts are immediately recorded in the reserve center, ”M. emphasized. Gishyan.
Personnel who will work in a reserve center in emergency situations have already been determined and have passed special training. Contracts have been concluded with providers providing the Internet for the Internet. This will allow customers (both residents and non -residents) at any time to manage their accounts, regardless of which country they are in. Although the center is already working, it is planned to hold an event to test all its capabilities by the end of the year, including customer service.
According to M. Gisyan, the reserve center operates using the so-called “Cloud” technologies, based on Microsoft Cloud systems and modern equipment of the company “Dell”, which makes it possible to have a large number of working virtual servers. Cloud system allows you to evenly distribute the load, and also ensures the continuity of working with applications.
M. Gisyan expressed the hope that the bank’s customers will appreciate the efforts of ABV aimed at ensuring the preservation of their accounts and the confidentiality of information, since the bank made considerable investments to achieve this goal. The bank plans include the creation of a similar reserve center next year in Europe.
